It will be a full weekend of Canada Day festivities in the Town of Goderich.
Tourism, Events & Marketing Coordinator Lisa Hood says the festivities begin at dusk Friday, with the waterfront fireworks.
“It gets busy pretty quick,” Hood tells Country 104.9 News.
“Bring your spare change, we’ve got the Maitland Air Cadets who are going to be collecting donations at the main entrance points down to the water.”
Returning this year is the free picnic in downtown Goderich on Saturday, with free treats between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for those attending.
“We will have cake for people to enjoy. We’re going to have some hotdogs on the barbecue.”
Following the picnic and musical performance, the Goderich Canada Day parade will begin at 2:00 p.m., beginning on West Street and travelling into downtown.
