The Ontario New Democrat Party is getting set to launch their election campaign for Huron-Bruce.
NDP candidate Laurie Hazzard will be opening her campaign office Saturday, at 53 Hamilton Street in Goderich, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m..
The same day, in Ripley, Liberal candidate Shelley Blackmore will open her campaign.
The last time the riding of Huron-Bruce had an elected New Democrat was when now-Bluewater Mayor Paul Klopp represented the riding between 1990 and 1995.
Incumbent Progressive Conservative candidate Lisa Thompson launched her campaign in April, more than a week ahead of Wednesday’s dissolution of provincial parliament.
Also running for the riding of Huron-Bruce are NDP candidate Laurie Hazzard, Green candidate Matthew Van Ankum, and New Blue candidate Matt Kennedy.
The provincial election will be held June 2nd, 2022.
