The Alice Munro Short Story contest is returning to Huron County.
Submissions for the contest will be accepted until March 15 and winners will be announced June 2-4 at the 2023 Alice Munro Festival of the Short Story.
While the festival will host established authors on the weekend of June 2-4, 2023, the Short Story contest allows for unpublished authors to submit their works for cash prizes.
All submitted works can be up to 2500 words, and only unpublished authors are eligible.
The Adult contest, for authors 19 years and older, costs $25 per entry and has a grand prize of $1500.
The Youth Contest, for authors up to 19 years of age, costs $10 per entry and has a grand prize of $500.
