Funding has been announced for a mental health initiative at a Wingham high school.
The United Way of Perth-Huron announced the recipients of the 2021-22 Youth in Action Grants, to develop and implement projects addressing important issues in their communities.
United Way officials announced the F.E. Madill “You Matter Student Wellness Seminar” will receive funding.
The seminar aims to better equip students to advocate for their own mental health, provide support to peers, and improve overall wellness.
Up to $1 thousand is accessible for the project.
To be eligible, the project must be planned by youth aged 14–25, clearly engage their peers in Perth and Huron Counties and have an adult trustee over the age of 25.
