The Mayor of Goderich is hoping town hall can make its own strides to address climate change in the coming months and years.
John Grace tells Country 104.9 News the town’s Environmental Action Committee will be discussing in the coming weeks ways the town can be more environmentally friendly in its day-to-day operations.
“We understand there is climate change. How are we adapting as a municipality?” Grace tells us.
“That’s going to be looked at very hard by the environment committee of Goderich, and also Goderich town council.”
Grace says he would like to see initiatives move beyond what he calls “changing the light bulbs.”
“Our Environmental Action Committee will be having a brainstorming of what ‘what can we do for the community to move this topic forward,’” the Mayor says.
