Goderich’s 2020 Festival of Lights will take an online approach for 2020.
In previous years, officials with the Town of Goderich would open the festival with the live lighting of trees in Lion’s Harbour Park.
Instead, the town will open the 2020 Festival of Lights on Friday with a live streamed lighting of the Angel Tree (for deceased children), MADD Tree (for people impacted by impaired drivers), and the Forget-Me-Not Tree (for individuals impacted by Alzheimer Disease).
That live stream will kick off at 7:00 p.m..
A second live-streaming event kicks off Saturday, with the lighting of Courthouse Park in downtown Goderich, at 7:00 p.m..
As part of the 2020 Festival of Lights, Goderich has released a map of homes with exteriors decorated for the holidays.
