The Goderich-Huron YMCA could re-open as soon as August 21st.
YMCA officials closed branches across southwestern Ontario in March, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In an e-mail to members, the “Y” says they will “slowly be reopening our YMCA Health and Fitness sites in a phased approach beginning on August 21, 2020.”
Some of the measures the YMCA will introduce upon reopening include:
– Reduced hours of operation & building access
– Physical distancing to maintain 2m/6ft between people
– Increased sanitization & disinfection, more hand-sanitizing stations
– Glass barriers at Membership Desks
– Health screenings upon entry
– Single one-way directional entry & exits
– Contactless membership badge scan-in stations
