The next few weeks will be telling for Agricultural Park, in Goderich.
Tenders have been issued for costing to redevelop the park, something councillor Trevor Bazinet says elected officials will learn more about in October.
Roughly $3 million is budgeted for construction of three baseball diamonds, a soccer pitch, skate park, playground, and washroom facilities.
Over $500 thousand has been raised so far in the campaign to redevelop the park, much of which came last weekend.
The town won $250 thousand in the Kraft-Heinz Project Play contest Saturday, while announcing a $50 thousand donation from Rona Goderich the same day.
The Rona donation was from the Leis family, who owns the business.
Bazinet says town councillors will have a look at tenders to redevelop Agricultural Park at their October 10th meeting.
He adds, the park will also be renamed in the future.
