Many people are not at work today — and that includes employees at Bruce Power and the Honda Alliston plant.
As all county roads and provincial highways to the Bruce site in Tiverton are closed, Bruce Power is asking Category A, B and C not to report to work for today.
However, Category A staff should continue to monitor conditions closely to determine when they will be expected to travel to site.
All buses to and from Port Elgin and Kincardine have been temporarily suspended.
Production for today at the Honda Alliston plant have been cancelled due to parts supply issues and poor road and weather conditions.
All 3 Honda plants in Alliston are closed.
The day, afternoon and Midnight shifts have been cancelled.
In Owen Sound, the Tenneco plant is closing at 4 PM today and it will not re-open until 4 PM on Wednesday due to the weather and parts shortages.
Staff are asked to report for their regular shifts.
Chapman’s Ice Cream in Markdale has also cancelled Tuesday afternoon’s shift.
